Ron Lucas, an adopted Bermudian, married his wife Lorraine in 1969.
He learnt to dive in 1996 and underwater photography soon became a passion.

In 2008 "Bermuda Reef Portraits" was published by Bermuda Zoological Society (BZS) which is the registered charity that supports the Bermuda Aquarium, Museum & Zoo. Ron donated some 120 of his best pictures and wrote the majority of the text. This is Bermuda's first comprehensive photo book of underwater reef creatures. It serves as an introductory ID reference to Bermuda's reef life for both divers and snorkelers.  All proceeds from the sale of the book go to this worthy charity.

Ron has supplied the photographs for the Dive Bermuda sponsored display, in the outdoor pool foyer at the Fairmont Southampton Princess in Bermuda.
