The gear we dive in

As part of our 5-star mantra, we feel that providing you with high quality diving equipment for your exploration exploits is absolutely essential.

Here at Dive Bermuda Tech we can offer our top of the line XDeep Sidemount Harnesses and Apeks first & second stage regulators.

It goes without saying that with most rental dive equipment, there is almost always a major compromise whether it be comfort or functionality.

The customizability and ingenuity behind the award winning XDeep Stealth 2.0 sidemount system will allow maximum comfort while you feel like you're diving in your own personal BCD. This combined with the use of high performance Apeks DS4/XTX50 Sidemount regulators will allow for effortless breathing and allow you to focus on nothing but the dive, even at the most demanding depths. Both of these systems are the go to for even the most adventurous explorers due to their unmatched performance, comfort and reliability.

All divers hate when equipment issues cause an unpleasant dive and we go the extra mile to ensure that your equipment never lets you down.

SDI Sidemount Course

Instructor Aayush Sidemount diving through an epic swim-through on Virginia Merchant

The SDI sidemount course is geared towards those looking to use sidemount cylinders instead of a traditional back mount unit for recreational diving purposes. Sidemount Diving vs back mount diving is generally considered to be much more comfortable due to added stability and is also much safer as you will be carrying a redundant gas source and always have access to your tank valves incase you encounter any problems while you dive. Throughout the SDI Sidemount course you will learn about gas management, equipment considerations, proper weighting and much more. Prerequisites for the course:

1.       Minimum age 18, 15 with parental consent

2.       Open Water Diver Certification

Price  |  $650 per person, excluding eLearning and gear rental

The staff is very familiar with sidemout diving and their service rose to the next level. I had forgotten a small part and Aayush crafted a spare on site, in addition, he brought out some extra safety clips for boat diving that were very helpful. Captain Arran was extremely helpful post dive and an excellent driver. Our guide Will was great at leading the way on the historic Marie Celeste and then the gorgeous maze-like swim throughs of Virginia Merchant.

Great customer service and always an eye for safety. Would recommend for anyone diving in Bermuda and if you want to sidemount dive even better.”
